How to use the Campaign brief template

  1. Start a board from it

Use this template opens a new Freero board with the Campaign brief template on it (sign up free first). On a board you already have, open Templates in the toolbar and search for “Campaign brief”.

  2. Follow the instruction on the board

“Fill it in before anyone writes copy or buys media. If a section is hard to fill, that is the conversation to have first.”

  3. Fill in each part

    • Goal What should change in the world because this campaign ran?
    • Audience Who exactly are we talking to, and what are they doing right now?
    • Key message If they remember one sentence, which one?
    • Channels Where will they meet the message, and in what order?
    • Budget and timing How much, when does it start and stop, and what are the milestones?
    • How we will measure it Which numbers tell us it worked, and which tell us to stop early?
  4. Bring your team and your agents

Invite people to the board or share a link, and work on it together live. The timer is in the top bar, private mode and voting in the board menu, and Claude or ChatGPT can join through Freero’s MCP server.

Work on it with an AI agent

Connect an assistant once and it works on the board with you, with your permissions: by default it reads and proposes, and people decide.

  1. You ask: “Fill in the Campaign brief board from these notes.”

What happens It reads the board, then proposes sticky notes for it. Nothing changes until someone on the board accepts them.

  2. You ask: “Group what we wrote into themes and list the actions.”

What happens It proposes clusters with a title each and task cards for the actions, labelled with its name and yours.
