ChatGPT

ChatGPT works on your boards as a custom MCP server, with the permissions you grant it.

Connect in settings · Freero for ChatGPT

What it does

Add Freero to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server, then mention it in a chat to find boards, read them, add notes, clusters and diagrams, or propose changes.

OpenAI decides which plans can add custom MCP servers; in a workspace an admin may have to allow them first. ChatGPT connects from OpenAI’s servers, so your Freero must be reachable over public https.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Step 1

In ChatGPT, open Plugins and add a custom MCP server named Freero with your server’s MCP URL and OAuth sign-in.

  2. Step 2

Sign in to Freero on the consent screen and choose what ChatGPT may do.

  3. Step 3

In a new chat, type @, pick Freero and ask about a board.

In Freero, Apps & agents → ChatGPT takes you straight to this step.
